Ricardo Curaqueo Curiche
Ricardo Curaqueo Curiche is a dancer, teacher and professional choreographer. As a performer, he has worked under renowned Chilean and foreign choreographers, including Lemi Ponifasio (Mau mapuche) and Pablo Rotemberg (La noche obstinada). He has directed works such as El tango de las rosas (2012) and Kalfü kütral (2016), a theatrical investigation into contemporary dance and the Mapuche world view that was very well-received by foreign critics. With Malen, winner of the award for best Chilean dance production from the Chilean Circle of Art Critics, he has emerged as one of the most outstanding contemporary choreographers on the local scene.
