Los Patapelá is a band for both youngsters and ‘the not-so-young’ that plays original songs to the rhythm of swing, manouche, gypsy jazz and Latin American music. Using acoustic instruments such as the saxophone, clarinet, flute, accordion, guitar, double bass and drums - as well as seven singers - their aim is to imagine, discover and play. They bring a ‘theatrical concert’ to Tocatas a Mil - En la plaza a patapelá - in which they embark on an audio and musical journey through a neighborhood square, playing in the playground and, among other entertaining and fun activities, encouraging patrimonial games and recycling. Los Patapelá - nominated for a Pulsar Award in 2018 for best musical artist for children - bring together music, acting and visuals in multidisciplinary shows that stimulate children and develop their awareness and imagination.
