La casa lobo is an award-winning Chilean film using the stop motion technique that was filmed by Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña over four years at more than 10 different museums and galleries. It’s a piece that took time to make and was recorded in front of audiences in Holland, Argentina and at different Chilean venues such as the Fine Arts Museum, the Contemporary Art Museum and Matucana 100. This exhibition at the GAM is different though. La casa lobo takes us into the fantastic universe of the film of the same name, telling the story of María, a young girl who escapes from the Colonia Dignidad settlement and takes refuge in a ruined house in the south. This multimedia installation includes an architectural piece created by Iván Bravo and objects, sounds, fragments from the film and documentary material about the production process, all inspired by this refuge. In it, León & Cociña aim to create a world as fantastic as possible, with Chile becoming a macabre utopia.
